I know nothing about plants.

Got an aloe in a pot and was wondering what type of aloe it was, and how often I should water it. I suppose not often at all?

I keep it indoors but put it in the sun on the weekends when I'm home. I believe they prefer direct sunlight, but can also be kept indoors. Not sure if taking a plant out every weekend for some sun is a good idea, or if they prefer staying put.

It started sprouting this bud a few weeks back;

I guess it's gonna flower soon, or are those just seed pods?

Nice one that is gorgeous!

It needs a bigger pot to thrive. Make sure it has plenty of drainage just wait until it is finished flowering before you move it.

Don't water it too much because the roots will rot.

It has babies if you want to separate them into their own pots. Just get enough stem to hold it in place in the soil and it will take off very easily.

Looks like you have about 10 suckers next to the main plant.

Here's how to plant them.

Thanks for the tips.

I see there are definitely a few 'offspring' next to the main plant. Will definitely get it a bigger pot after it flowers. :)
