Greetings

I have setup a NO-IP account and installed it on my Raspberry pi with the DUC

I have also set the raspberry pi with a static ip of 10.0.0.4

The router i am using is a telkom netgear dgn2200v2 which perhaps sucks largely

I have also created a service called Pi and forwarded port 2212 to the raspberry pi IP of 10.0.0.4

I have also created a firewall rule on the router

have any of you had issues with port forwarding with this router? It does not work for me, or am i doing something wrong?

Certain conditions does not allow you to be on the same NAT domain as your are trying to route over the Internet to.

Try 3G or something to access your dynamicdomainname.xyz:2212

I assume you actually have something listening on 2212 on the Pi. A telnet 10.0.0.4 2212. will confirm if it responds.

My connection is DSL with VOX so i am not sure they are blocking. I have tried from an outside connection to access and it wont budge :(

I have been told these dgn2200Mv2's are rubbish to PF

Obvious question is can you access whatever is running on that port directly without DNS?

If the Port Forward option is on the router it will work. People saying it's crap probably means it's hard to work with, not that it doesn't work.

I cant sadly do anything as the setup is at home and im about 40km at work for the night

Is the DUC client updating properly? You should be able to see on the website in your profile which IP address it currently has assigned.
