What an embarrassment!

but why? why dont they "take on" the bankrupt and corrupt ones run by them?

Not gonna happen. All the voters have to do is compare their municipality with the one just to the south of them and they will see what the ANC can do. :D

ANC have more chance of falling apart then getting it, people are slowly but surely starting to wake up to the fact that the ANC are not helping anyone in anyway! Time to change your vote, no matter who you vote for as long as it's not for the ANC. I could think of some wonder acronyms for ANC.

African National Circus.

However, the local ANC argues that one of the main reasons the DA has performed well in Midvaal is that many of the poor live on farms in the area and are unable to make it to voting stations on election days as they do not have easy access to public transport.

Scraping the barrel for excuses now ANC? Hahaha!

The reality fact that the eANC, due to corruption, cannot achieve the same results.

The problem is that they have taken corruption to a whole new level, and are fighting over the spoils of war. They are back-stabbing each other to lay their greedy, fat-stained little paws on the next lucrative deal/job/promise.
In that, lay their real Achilles' heel: The pie only has so many slices to offer, and the slices are getting fewer. The under-dogs are energetically battling for the scraps and their underlings are fighting over the bones. In the mean time, the people reap the reward. Go figure.

I'm not sure what they are saying here. Are they saying that if the poor were able to vote, the province would not be in as good a state as it is?

Ha ha. I think they are trying to say that the DA would have got voted out if the workers were able to vote, but they make it sound like the workers not being able to vote has allowed the DA to turn the munipality around.

Which, if you think about it, might have an element of truth to it. I mean, lets assume that they would vote ANC, which would mean the municipality would go down the tubes like every other ANC run municipality.
