What App should I develop?

I would like an app that keeps track of my expenses on my vehicles. Like when, where, what and the cost, also maybe if I was satisfied by the work done.
Oh and also at what date and what the odometer reading was.
Like when I need tyres I can check when last I replaced them and who did it and what it cost at the time. Same with brakes etc.
Like a log book.
What do you think of cost for this, monthly or once off?

explain again please?
Started typing a response but then I figured this must already exist.
Something like trackara but for any hobbyist who likes to build stuff and keep record of it.
I typically just use excel and keep a physical file. Would be neat if it could be easily digitised.

this can be done... And then we can add a pdf/excel report per project so that after each completion you want to see bill of materials and timeline it can be easily exported

App that stores loyalty cards. Many do exist but many fail to scan. Cause could be insufficient image contrast so an easy adjuster the checkout girl can change.

location based job app to get registered local people to do stuff for you for money. to come and fix your aircon, do your garden, hire a prozzy etc. like fiver but for manual labour, like uber but for anything.

App to scrape FB Market Place and draw up a price comprison of similar items in your local area you have set. Many other features then will stem from this. For instance, looking for an SSD. The search filter is not enough. Many types and many inaccurate ways people place the ads.

An app that allows you to create a project and then put together a parts list and todo list.
As an example, you buy a project car.
This car then has a list of jobs to do and parts that need to be bought.
At the end you have a history of sort which is shareable for posterity or resale.
Must have facial recognition access so the better half doesn’t have access to it.

PBS

Project Breakdown System.
Used to be part of change management where this was a sharepoint spreadsheet. FML what a mess. It’s better handled as a web app for approvals and even room for automating tasks like obtaining quotes. Assigning approvers and change owners.

does the web app exist today?

I believe similar PBS solutions might exists but not really fine-tuned for organisational needs as these where all internal.

Not a bad idea to build the backend for something like that which is simple and easy for users to set up for their own requirements. Visio style setup if you think about it.

this is not something I use so don't really understand what works and not. What would be the wants in a system like this?

If you can, Develop an app to track grave sites using gps coordinates at Gauteng cemetaries especially the township graves. I have been to certain sections of Westpark Cemetery were there was no sign that there are people buried there, just mounds of soil.
This can be done. If you look at my krugerapps site, its all interlinked with GPS coordinates,if you share an animal sighting it tracks you against closest Kruger road and shares that data etc. Although it sounds interesting, not like I would "jump out" in developing a grave site GPS locater app. Maybe if there is a 100mil tender ;)

Google project breakdown structure and then work breakdown system. Think of a webapp where users can build the structure and implement it in a simple easy to understand way.

This could be for anything not just business. You kind of have to create the hook for your application sellable above others.

FYI building your app might need a system like this.

ok app is live for testing purposes. Just register and can play around with it.

I guess there isnt much of a conflict of interest work wise since they dont seem to have a dedicated app like that (it might scare off customers if they only knew what cost of ownership was like). But that in itself might be a conflict.

What makes your app different from Fuelio or Drivvo?

i just looked at the others and I must say, I think what I did over the last couple of days competes well as V1...

You are 100% correct, even with Vercel's AI, the prompt engineering must have been very detailed.

Just remember, with more complex items, a larger testing framework is required especially if the understanding of the topic may be limited. But who best to develop an expense tracker for cars right?

In all seriousness, If I might make an honest suggestion. The market for apps are saturated. Niche service linked apps are still in demand in some sectors except deliveries, online shopping, online bookings. Edit: Also, forums. Edit 2: Also social media

Whatever your actual job is now (if not developer) try to link that with a niche app.
