What are my options (win 8 virus)

Helped my cousin set up his ADSL, their computers were not working with the router so had to use my Laptop, the windows 7 laptop which ever address I went to in ie it would try to download the website and would not open it at all, luckily there's a recovery partition so I'll be reinstall windows no problem.

The windows 8 PC is slow and which ever address I try to go to I'm redirected to one those spammy website which claim to fix your pc. Now computer has no recovery partition a and now install disk, Is there a way to upgrade to windows 10 with a fresh install?

Install avast free and make a USB rescue disk (basically an anti-virus on a flash drive) then you boot from the flash drive and it will can and get rid or the viruses, hopefully.

Another great piece of free software often used is adwcleaner - just google it - it downloads from a french site - explod of something - you run it, it updates a small db and scans - then click the clean button - and reboots - it works much better than many of the paid for malwarebytes type software...

adwcleaner AND malwarebytes AND maybe Spybot should clean that right up.
