What batteries to use with 360 controllers?

Good day everyone!

I recently bought a uniross charger with rechargable batteries that work fine with my remotes but I need more batteries and the only ones I can find say that they are 2000mAh, will these do fine?

I dont know what the mAh on my current uniross batteries are, it's not written on.

I know, wierd question but I need to know cos once I bought rechargables for my camera but they were too 'weak' to switch it on even.

I use Uniross as well and they are fine. But if you want batteries that last quite a while, look for eneloops. Some friends have them and they last 3 weeks. Zaps in Brightwater Commons has them for ~R250 for 4 batteries and the charger. I want to get some myself.

I got two of these for R300, cant remember from where. Work really well, charging them is simple and you dont have to stop playing if the battery runs out because you can just plug them in.

Do yourself a favour and do what he said :)

The advantage with the quick charge kit (that comes with a battery pack) is that you can keep playing while recharging the battery.
 
The Play and Charge is around R300 but seems to only last around 6 months. Mine could not last a day without needing to be recharged. It is handy to have though but the wires can get in the way

Both of mine have been going strong for almost 2 years.

The controller that I use often works without hassle. The one that I use infrequently works as you describe. I suspect that it starts discharging if you don't use it very often. I just let the extra controller charge while I'm using the other one, to stop it from going dead.

The 2100ma uniross Hybiro's are my battery of choice but be careful with that charger as it just keeps charging. IIRC 7 hours is the max you want to leave the battery in for.
 
Well putting it plainly, those rechargable litium batteries, lasted longer than the xbox itself. Both are just over a year old now. Xbox got the RROD about 4 months ago.

After importing some goodies, and finding a supplier of some screws and washes, modifying the cpu xclamp, a few other jiggeries, I now have a working Xbox 360 again, possibly running better than before. If anybody needs theirs fixed, let me know :)

Problem is the microsoft batteries dont last. I have 4 remotes and I had a battery for each of them, a year down the line they no longer hold their charge (last about 10 minutes after charging all night).

I would much rather spend ~R100 for 4 batteries (for use in 2 remotes) and replace them once a year as opposed to 2xR200 for microsoft's.

Anybody have any success with the 2000ma?

Lithium batteries can be funny if you dont run them down fully before recharging. You may have gotten a few bad ones maybe?
But decent batteries these days are pretty expensive, id say if you had to do the math, surely the rechargable ones will save you cash in the end? depending on how often you play and change batteries though..
 
I have purchased Duracell rechargables (gold and green battery) and its great.I am on XBL everyday for 3-4 hours and the batteries last me for a month.Best buy
 
Is there a difference in the mAh with regards to how long each charge lasts or is it just a matter of what devices it can actually run for that same amount of time?

ie. Assuming the device is the same (xbox remote) will a battery of 2700mah last longer per charge than one with 2000mah? or will they both work with the exception that I can use the 2700 batteries in more powerful devices?

Generally better to top up regularly.

Or simply pop in a couple of other AAs while recharging the dead set.

I use 2700mAh batteries and they last ages.

I bought a energiser 15 minute charger which is AWESOME ... if ever on therare occasion my batteries are flat (for camera, xbox, etc) ... pop them in ... go outside for a smoke and when I am back then are charged and ready.
 
Hmmm, well for years i've been using GP batteries, 2100mah and 2300mah, they really are strong and i've even used a set in my digital camera for almost 2 years.

All AA rechargeables are 1.3 volt if I remember correctly, while normal AA are 1.5 volt. So that device that could not start, would probly not start with any rechargeable!

mAh basically means the capacity of the battery
