What can I do with a spare box?

Before I sell it for parts, I'd like to know if there are any useful ideas I can run with it?

Could use it as a small server. Like hosting a MySQL db for your HTPC DB in case you ever want another one HTPC and the two need to be synced? Should be powerful enough for a home automation control center if you want to tinker with that.

IPS, VPN termination, and VPN breakout. Considering the latter, South Africa has some of the most liberal (and slackest) cyber legislation in the world. You could make top dollar using the box as a VPN exit node.

If you are morally inclined, donate it to a school where it could provide a radius auth or NTP service, fileserver, or a firewall.
