What can I do with wireless on WM6?

Ok ... so I got my wi-fi connected to my home network on my i780 ... now what can I do besides browse the internet at home?

I just set my Touch Diamond up to my network and other than browsing the net, chatting on Skype and Msn and updating the weather I don’t think there is much else I can do. In order to transfer files between phone and PC you would need to somehow detect them on the network and connect to them, which I am not sure is possible, it possibly is, I will try it out laters and let you know if I make anything of it.

Of course you can access/use files on the network!
Just use the normal File Manager to browse files and folders on your network.
Start File Manager on TD.
Menu > Go to > Open path and enter the path on your network.
You can copy, paste, play media files, etc.
See the short screen-capture video I just made (3.7MB). (The tdserverfiles.avi file downloads/plays perfectly on my Vista machine but some report WM probs - just Right-click>SaveAs to download to desktop and then play.

Of course you can do a whole lot more, such as Remote Desktop to drive your network PCs. I regularly connect to my home server/PCs using remote desktop via wifi or via dyndns when only gprs/3g connection is available. You can also set up a vpn connection.
