Hi peeps,

I am looking to get a case... Not sure which one is the best. Here's my choices:

1. HAF 932 (Second hand one for R1400 or new for R1850)
2. Gigabyte Summo 5115 (The Aurora 570 case new for R1850)

I like the haf more but there's something bout the Gigabyte that I just like...

Which case is the better one.

I like HAF 932
I recently bought the Aerocool S9 which is also a super nice case if you wanna check that out, its also a bit cheaper

Option 3 :)
I was almost going to get that HAF, but then I saw it has no dust filters, so I got an Antec 1200 at the same price, and haven't looked back, its also 1 of a few that can take my asus R2E. The HAF needs a few more fans and fan colour changes to get it to look as good as all the posted pics of it. The 1200 can also go from super silent to full wind-tunnel.

My 2 cents :)

HAF932 It's options with hot swappable drives are amazing so less time than usual.. although it gets a bit fuzzy when carrying to lans keep that in mind

Yea I don't really go to LAN's that much anymore..

The Antec 1200 is a nice case but It looks to tall... Is there a place I can actually see these cases on Demo??

Isn't the HAF loud coz I know some dust filters reduces the sound...

Yep, huge fans generally = less noise due to low rpm, small fans generally = more noise due to high rpm

Weird - that seems to be conventional wisdom. But the 25cm one in the side of mine sounds like a small aircraft at take-off and the 12cm ones inside are quite a bit quieter.

The tiny fan on my 8500GT is damn noisy, though.

Something for less than R800 that is big enough for what you need and has good airflow...

Seriously people... R1000+ for a case is retarded.

I like HAF 932

Is that the one with the 40cm fan?

Sly fly do you know how many 800 rand cases i have been through? I bought the haf932 for 1.6k and i doubt i will ever need another case again. solid build, awesome cooling, huge enough for my water cooling. No i am sorry going cheap on a case will cost you in the long run i feel.

Sly if you buy a case look at the quality... I had a flippen cool case about 2 years back and bought it for R2500... I said NEVER again... And yea.. now I'm doing it again :-)

The build quality is just excellent... You get what you pay for and that's how everything works... I think I'm leaning towards the HAF...

Mod thanks for the Poll :-)

I have to say I don't really like that Aerocool case that much...

if u really wanna extend your ePenis then get a R6000 Lian-Li case :P

lol @ lord fubar.
But im gonna agree with SLYFLY on this , i mean your gonna grow tired of looking at it eventualy whether its a R6000 case or a R50 case

It's not just to stare at the case... It's the build quality of the case. How good it works with all your goodies in it :-)

I hate cases where you have to use a screw driver and where the chassis feels like it's gonna fall and so on... I like a steady case and a huge case for my goodies :-D

I would go for a Thermaltake variety. I have the TT Tsunami Dream, had it for about 5 years now, and gonna respray it soon as it's looking a bit battered, but it's a solid case. I paid R1500 for it. I have had cheap cases in the past, but they just don't last long.

the reason I'm looking at those 2 cases is because it's huge... My CPU cooler has 2 120mm fans on it and I also want to go Cross fire after a few months with 4870 coz they are getting cheap now.

I think the HAF will be a better choice then the Gigabyte.. Thanks guys
