What.cd torrent site shuts down

At the rate they are being shutdown I guess they(torrents) are going the way of the...Dark Web(if that's my understanding).
 
Yet I can still Clipgrab music off Youtube...

Who still torrents music these days? Artists themselves put their work on YouTube for the world to see. There really is no need to do it. Songs and videos are freely viewable...including music that shouldn't be on YouTube. A musician I like, released an album this year and within a day or 2, the entire album was uploaded by some random YouTuber. I tried to report it, but YouTube wouldn't let me. Lol! You have to be the copyright owner, artist, producer or anyone directly involved with the song before you can even report it. Who needs what.cd when the world's biggest torrent is available to all - hassle free!

Labels generally do submit claims but they can often just claim any revenue from the ads instead of it being removed outright.

I see.
I wanted to alert the artist, but didn't. Out of their hundreds of thousands of followers, they have thousands of fans who contact them all the time.
So long as they still benefit from illegally uploaded content, I'm happy.
