What cheap run around?

Wouldn't something like this be a cheap runaround?
Polo 1.2 TDI. Very frugal on gas, so I'm assuming it would be an extremely cheap runaround.

Your options increase at 90-95k.

I think you should consider :

1.4 Opel Corsa Essentia
Suzuki Swift 1.4 GL
Chevrolet Spark LSmany in your price range. Spoilt for choice)
Fiat 500
Hyundai i20(older shape)

Please don't be like everybody in this country and get a boring Figo or Vivo. Those cars are ***.

Edit : you will probably get a 2010 or 2011 model but can get a newer Chevrolet Spark.


I don't like the Chev Spark though. Interior is ugly as **** & boring car.

The Opel corsa essentia is nice but I have my eye on the Suzuki Swift. It isn't a popular car, so dealerships are willing to negotiate.

The Swift is an awesome car but won't suit if you require boot space. It handles like a mini, it is Japanese and the 1.4 models are good. Avoid the Swift 1.2,it is made in India and crap.

You won't find a car with service plan still intact.Not at that price anyway.

The Spark is apparently cheap to service.

The Yaris is a crap car.

Fiat 500 isn't an option cos expensive to maintain and getting a replacement remote etc is a mission.

Edit : set money aside aside for car maintenance or get a monthly plan from liquid capital.

Opel corsa essentia & Ford Fiesta parts arent rare. So I really don't get why people buy Vivos and Figos.
 
Must it be a car? Not talking superbikes, but a brand new commuter goes for about a quarter of your budget. Just a thought.

What if you break the seat (during your in car sexploits or whatever) and have to get a whole seat, or need a whole door or whatever, hell, I see 10s of each of Polos and Figos just commuting 13km to work, lucky if I see 1 Corsa.*

*I notice cars and number plates (neighbourhood watch side effect)
 
Here we go again have a look at Honda Brio nice little car with everything you need in a run around car. In your budget you will get the older models 2014/2015 with really low mileage check auto trader. It cost me R450.00 fuel tank and it last me almost 2 weeks.
 
Opel Astra, get the year model to fit your budget.
