What could be the problem?

Hi guys...

I have this problem, dunno what it is or where to start looking.

At random times on random sites, I get an error saying either eg"Page not found. The page /news could not be found on mybroadband.co.za" or it says "Cache Error, Tiny Proxy could not connect to the remote server". BUt when i reload the page it comes up fine.

I have checked my modem, and it stays connected at all times. I have even replaced the modem after 2ctelecoms said its faulty. I have also used different dns servers which also did not work. And no im not running through and caching servers.

Any ideas?

I can tell you that it is not a DNS issue.

Best would be to check your proxy server logs. The problem is not on MyADSL's side. I have never seen these problems on MyADSL.

I sometimes receive a error similar to "Cache Error, Tiny Proxy could not connect to the remote server", but at different websites (not MyADSL). It is caused by our firewall when the ADSL connection is overloaded.

and what if i am not running ant proxy server? Its just a direct connection to the internet. And when you say our firewall, do you mean the firewall on the modem? Cause i switched that off and it still did the same
