Well, this has now happened for the past 2 months. This month and last month. I am now at the Internet café, and yes, you guessed it, I am capped. I have been since the 8th.
I have a 384 Kb/s, 3 Gig cap. You won't believe me story.
Last month (around the 25th) I found that I could not go on line. My usage was at 4 gig. I thought, OK, thats fine, I am capped and I deserve it. I am scum, I went over my limit. When I could finally come on line, well, it wasn't pretty. I saw that I had used 6.30 GB (Combined Total). That was a shock since I don't know where the 2 gigs came from. (Apparently I had uploaded 2 gigs of data)
Then, this month, on the 8th, I was capped for reasons unknown. In the time I was sleeping (when my computer is off and I am in bed) I allegedly downloaded 4.14 GB and uploaded 2.22 GB. Now, I had probably downloaded 1 GB beforehand, so, if you do the math, is it physically possible to download and upload so much data in one night while my computer is off. I do not think so.
I think someone has my account details, so I phoned Telkom, and they told me it was impossible. I then changed my password to a ridiculously long one of random letters and numbers...
Hopefully someone can learn from my...ignorance.
