So, I am a fan of Sniper Elite and play 2 & 3 ok but now SE4 is out and the graphics are much more demanding and I need to know what is best and cheapest way of "complying" with the following and will I need to upgrade my MB and Graphics card and what card will fit on my existing MB. Space needs to be about the same as current card:-

I am running Win7 64bit
Thanks in advance.

All you need is a new GPU, rest of the system is fine depending on the level of detail you want to play at.

i5 2400 + rx470 4GB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QuunUBftsk

i5 2400 + gtx970 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miP18hx5-BA

In SA the rx470 does not really make sense as the rx480 is only slightly more (R3k vs R3.3K). If you're only gaming at 1080p then the 4GB version will be fine and it's R1k cheaper than the 8GB version.

Just check the physical dimensions to see if it will fit but it should.

You can also have a look on carbonite to see what's available there.

Then a few months down the line if you want you can have a look at the new ryzen 5 cpus.

Thanks for the input much appreciated.

All posts are in my personal opinion.

Just one thing that bugs me is my MB ok for a PCI-E 3.0 (I am not sure and a NOOB sorry)

PCIe is backward/forward compatible with all versions.

Your current MB is V1 while your current GPU is V2 for example.

Yip I think it is the same.

If it's the same one then 242 x 140 x 39 mm

VS

powercolor 480 4gb - 255 x 143 x 38 mm
his 480 4gb - 235 x 130 x 40 mm

If you have 13mm to spare currently then powercolor will fit, if not the his will definitely fit.
