What do you enjoy most about Christmas?

(choose multiple options)

Other: lots of xmas themed pr0n on the interwebs

but actually: the food and the drink yes, might even attend a church service to bring my tally for the entire year up to like 2 or 3 :X3:

definitely family time too, but not so much extended family which is a tradition that kinda fizzled out in our family a very long time ago, rather the wife and the offspring like every other day of our lives, carols at Kirstenbosch, just the 3 of us, festive snacks and drinks makes it a special time

Gammon ham. One for family on Christmas day and one hidden for myself when they all bugger off home

not a fan of gammon at all, but that looks proper, I just know the typical gammon pack you get at Woolies or Checkers etc around xmas and it's nothing special, give me a decent steak or lamb leg any day of the week rather

a whole bone-in gammon I've only seen in Spain, and those I'd love to try

Yoh the Mrs does pineapple and cherry glazed gammon. Man it's not Christmas without that gammon.

That and mince pies.

my preferred special occasion pig is a whole pork fillet wrapped in bacon, honey glazed ... hmmmmm

also not a fan of fruit mince pies, or fruit cake, or god forbid the Germans want to treat me to their xmas specialty yet again: Lebkuchen ... omfg revolting stuff!

to each his or her own though, the main xmas traditional meal I was raised on was a lamb on the spit if you're going big or a lamb leg with a side of pulled venison, roast beef and chicken for the vegans if there's no spit involved

this year's xmas lunch is going to be mostly seafood actually in our family, a decidedly capie thing to do, but tasty!
