I was supposed to switch my service provider last month I missed the opp. so was waiting till the end of this month. Anyway I'm wanting to switch to Axxess now but with all these changes is the pricing structure am I just gonna go back to Telkom, or will Axxess still be able to offer a good deal on the whole per gig thing or whatever is lurking behind the corner.

If I were you I'd get a R199 30 gig Web Africa account and use it from now till end of October. And then see what happens in November. Its not a done deal yet.

Web Africa is 570pm for a 30gig account but will do something like that.

You shoulda joined saol.com after the 15th - you could have got 30 gig data transfer @ R149.50 Incl VAT ! ( Only pay 1/2 the monthly fees after the 15th )

The independant ISP's are always going to offer you a better deal than Telkom with vastly improved service - everyone will be in the same boat come 1 November - there may however be some players in the industry with some cleverly thought out products
