What do you use (most): notebook vs desktoppie

I'm using an iMac but my next machintosh will probably be a notebook.

I thought it will be interesting to know what YOU use and if you own both what you use most of the time.

(For instance, Do you use your windows box at home if you have such a machine or do you use your macbook.)

I LURRVVE my Mac Mini 1.83ghz V2, had it now for almost 3 years, best gadget i ever bought, for mobile i use my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, does email and surfing very well and it has 3.5G HSDPA

It's interesting how these, as Jobs puts it, "post pc devices" snuck into this post. It shows me where we are heading. This is also what Apple believes. PCs as we know them are a dying breed

I've got a windows box but that's mainly used for downloading and preventing the door from slamming shut on windy days, we've got a mini in the lounge but that's managing our media virtually 24/7, the rest of the time its my MBP (currently a 13").

Over the years I've migrated to using a laptop almost exclusively because it's easier managing my data that way, in the field or back in my studio I know I've got everything in one place. Their new 27" display with the built in mag safe connector, USB, display port connector, speakers and cameras is looking pretty tempting for the studio though.

Try that hey!!! Obviously it's not for everyone - but there are definitely alternate devices (like the iPad) that will suite the needs of 90% of the people I can now check mail, browse the web, facebook, twitter etc. all on the road on an easy to carry device. I have to use Photoshop too but I only edit at home anyways - thus the desktop
Everyone's needs are different but an iPad and a desktop should suffice for "most" people

After posting my earlier post I remembered that I already have a 19" LCD on my desk that I rarely use because I dislike being desk bound.

I've been offered the chance to upgrade to a 15/17" MBP but I'm kind of reluctant even to do that.

Stick with the 13" and use the external screen at home

Use the 15" Core i7 MacBook Pro most of the time at home, and then take the iPad with me on the road. I have an iMac, which is a fantastic machine, but it is more comfortable working on the MBP because it can go on the couch, in the bedroom, in the study etc, as I have wireless internet. With the iMac I would be forced to sit in one place. It is also better to have everything on one device - I don't want to end up with some mail on my iMac and some on my MBP, so, because the MBP is more practical, I tend to use it as my primary device.

That's where MobileMe is totally awesome - mail is synced between my iMac, iPad and iPhone

Don't your bookmarks sync whenever you sync the devices with itunes?

I suppose I just can't get my head around the idea of paying so much money for a service that they could easily be offering Mac users for free.
