What do you use to make your coffee?

I love my coffee. Have not had the money to fork out R20k+ for a high-end machine yet, so my little espresso/cappuccino machine will do. It has its quirks, but once you master them, it makes a pretty decent cuppa. I have now found my perfect poison, which is from Tribeca in Centurion. If you buy your beans from Woolies, then we drink the same stuff.:D

Anyway, I have been using pre-boiled tap water at home, and have a specific cup that fits nicely into the machine, like this:

As this machine is small, I also take it with me wherever I go. Last week it was in Botswana with me. There my first cup was made with store bought spring water in one of those old style hotel cups, similar to this:

It was a pretty damn nice cuppa, better than at home. Then I used Botswana tap water in the same cup, and it tasted just as good.

Now the question is, does the cup make such a difference, like with wines and whiskeys? My wife got me a cup similar and it does seem to enhance the flavour of the coffee, so I don't think the water makes such a difference. Changing to spring water is my next test, but if that makes a huge difference, it would be a costly change.

What cup do you use and what water?
 
A large Starbucks mug, I probably have 40+ of them by now, and tap water.

I find Beanrush beans are in a different class than Tribeca, for the same price. There is a merchant near you, check the website...
 
My mom wanted to sell this (it's still here in classifieds but not for sale).

I eventually gave her 8 crates of hansa for it (won hansa beer for a year).

This. Dad brought one of these (a bigger version) from Armenia, I took it. Been using it for over a month, best coffee I've ever had. The only downside is the cook time and having to watch it almost constantly while cooking.

I use a Moka Express or a French press depending on my mood. Tap water and whatever no name mugs that happen to be lying around in the kitchen.
