Does Cybersmart us IS or SAIX? I got the 3gb 192 kb package.

what's the pro's and cons of each. Also someone alluded me to verizon. What is verizon?

Also someone told me to get telkom as an isp, cos you can go above your cap. I'm abit fearful on that. Dunno when telkom will send you a bill charging you for overused caps.

Cybersmart is SAIX.

for pros and cons i suggest searching this forum.

With telkom u never know how far over 3 gigs they will let you go . Seems to be around 7 was the average this month, but some users did get capped at just over 3.

They will not bill u extra if u go over ur 3 gigs though. Still, i would steer clear. There are better options out there.

Thanks, I did a search for SAIX and 500 results.......
So if it's too long to mention, at least which one is better.

The reason I asked about Verizon is that I saw on google somewhere that it costs 3c per mb. That is cheap, but it was required that something else be bought also that didn't make it worthwhile or something of the sort. I don't remember the details clearly.
Thanks

Verizon is UUNET's new name, the 3rd bandwidth provider in SA.

i'd get Telkom ISP 2GB for R199, you should get at least double to tripple what you pay for.

if you can only afford R100, then go for CyberSmart.

yeah, if you know you won't be using more than 3GB, nice, heck even if you top up.

I'm doubtful about telkom. Also bout myself though. If I could go over my cap I'd prob download like crazy. =P
But I'm really afraid that Telkom will bomb me wha some unsuspecting charges, although if they do someone would've reported it already.

I'll stick to Cybersmart. But my connection is not stable. Sometimes it would disconnect for hours on ends. Is this telkoms fault or cybersmarts?

it's Telkom's fault. it's a line problem. there are rarely ISP problems as they all resell the same Telkom/SAIX accounts.

yup, check you synch/adsl light on your router when it goes down, does it suddenly flash? Also check if anything in particular oocurs when it goes down like phone ring, sending fax etc
