What does the roll out entail?

I get good 3G speeds on my Vodacom 3G package but I just bought myself 5Gb per month from Cell C because it's so much cheaper. It's awesome at work, but at home I don't have Cell C 3G coverage yet so I only get edge.

What do they need to do in my area to upgrade to 3G. Is it just a software upgrade at the towers or do they need to install new hardware?

Basically I'm just trying to figure out how long it will take before I get 3G coverage at home (Brackenhurst)

The rest of JHB will only be upgraded in mid-January, that's what the Cell C CEO said. So expect February...the holiday season will slow things down.

I only get EDGE too in my Suburb.
