Hood day and thanx for your help so long.

DG834G v4

Here is our one router's logfile. What does this tell you?

Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:39 - Initialize LCP.
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:53 - LCP is allowed to come up.
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:00:55 - PAP authentication success
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:01:00 - Send out NTP request to time-g.netgear.com
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:02:15 - <DDNS>Update OK: good
Sat, 2000-01-01 00:02:22 - Send out NTP request to time-h.netgear.com
Mon, 2009-02-02 13:14:46 - Receive NTP Reply from time-h.netgear.com
Mon, 2009-02-02 13:12:22 - Router start up
Mon, 2009-02-02 13:30:28 - Administrator login successful - IP:xx.xxx.xx.xx

This is the total logfile of the router.
Does this tell you that:
1. The line was dropped and then later on re-authenticated.
2. There was a power interruption and the router came back on power.
3. The line dropped, causing the router to power off and power on again.

Please help me. This happens almost every 3-4 hours and is VERY frustrating.

Regards,
Deon

Nope,

starts link-connect-protocol
authenticates PPPoE
Updates Dynamic DNS address
Checks for the current time from a time server
Updates current time
Routing starts up
You logged in

Router doesn't keep logs after power failures ;)

Also - a line drop doesn't start a power-cycle
