Deal breakers
- The mid range sedan standard features - ABS, Power steering, aircon etc
- Comprehensive Motorplan type thingy
- Xenon lights (preferably Bi-Xenon)
- Armrest
- Cup holders
- Multi-function steering wheel
- Park Distance Control  (I am a bit embarrassed by this one. I have gotten so used to it, that I get irritated when I drive a car that doesn't have this).
- Headlights turn off when car switched off

Bonus Features (not deal breakers)
- Phone Bluetooth
- Fog Lights
- Card holder
- Automatic Door Locking when driving away

Mmmmm

I have traction control but never use it.

I think Power steering and ABS is fine for me... oh and heated seats that came in handy today!:p That beep if you dont put your lights off is needed...

Am not that fussy...

Nice to see that the KZN guys have their heads screwed on right! I agree with you davemc...ABS is great, plus I wouldn't mind an airbag or two, the rest of the stuff just adds $$$ to already expensive cars!!

- Fog Lights

A lot of fog in your area?

My list:
Electronic stability (which obviously includes ABS)
Power steering
Aircon
Central locking
Sound system (as long as it can take my MP3 shuttle or MP3 in)

Bonus points for:
Automatic

Most of the cars have these features these days....

One thing most cars don't yet have is electronic stability control, and it's something I think all cars should have. I read in Car & Driver a while back that it's the most effective safety innovation after safety belts.
