WHAT GOES AROUND....

If a 73yo still has an emotional attachment to that incident ... he is either super intelligent or has an extreme case of OCD.

My opinion is .. he is ****ed in the mind.

Some Americans are brought up emotionally stunted IMO. Just watch shows like Oprah, some adults can't put two and two together on an emotional level. They've been taught that only "doctors" can tell you what's wrong. Common sense seems to be in short supply these days..

True. Some Americans.
And some Brits.
And some Chinese.
Etcetera.

And even some South Africans.

Most of your TV is American, ergo most ... etc.

PS. Travel can help.

Don't know why people always pin these things on Americans. Must be because that's where our media comes from.

I've met several Americans, they aren't all that different really.

Same can be said for all nations. However some people are so unhappy that they need to highlight the failings in other countries to justify their own miserable existence. I do the same. The main reason I visit mybb is that it reinforces my decision to leave SA. Few minutes browsing these forums and I feel relief that I'm not in SA :)

Don't get me wrong, I have American friends and they are all emotionally intelligent :D; I guess I'm saying that through their media and culture they are being taught to rely on emotional dependence from others.
