A few weeks ago, or it might be longer than that now actually. I was running emule perfectly, All of my downloads were working fine. Then one day I open emule, it connects, doesn't download anything and then after about 5 to 10mins it says I have been disconnected from the server and that my port xxx (whatever port I set it to use) is unreachable.

Now nothing has changed on my system during that time, well nothing that I know of, anyone else had the same problem? Anyone know how to fix it?

it seems like wbs have been playing around with traffic shaping, i would bet that was the problem.... wait a while and try again would be my only suggestion, also make sure you dont have a firewall with auto-configuration, sometimes firewalls can automatically close problematic or what it thinks are erroneous ports without letting the user know.

Thing is it's been doing this for a few weeks already so I'm starting to wonder why, I haven't heard of other people having problems with it.

I've only got SP2 firewall enabled at the moment, trying to sort out a linux installation and get everything working fine again.

well they have been shaping stuff like emule for a while, it just seems a bit heavier this weekend

Won't changing the port emule uses bypass their shaping?

I noticed now that I just tried to connect and it won't even connect to any servers now... :(

no changing the port will change your port, your port doesn't matter its thier port, the port you download from that does
