I know Conan O'Brien's new show is only starting in June but now MSNBC has also dropped Jay Leno? Surely the management at MSNBC must realize that nobody is interested in their boring talking head shows and the only time anyone tunes in is to watch Jay and Conan. Their site at msnbc.co.za is under construction.

Jay Leno is starting a new NBC talk show (as far as I know, no one has ever been offered this opportunity) and O'Brien takes over the Tonight Show. Jimmy Fallon will be replacing O'Brien on the Late Show. But all of this only in June, I'm afraid.

I watch The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on CNBC. It's only on at 1:00 am every morning with selective repeats on Weekends from 22:00 pm. And since BTV has stopped giving live feeds of MSNBC I don't know where you get to watch MSNBC at all?
No, Jay Leno used to be on at 1 am and on the weekends but it suddenly stopped this past weekend. I am well aware that there is a major resuffle taking place at the beginning of June but that still does not explain why he has been taken off the air now. MSNBC is still on DSTV.

I watched The Tonight Show on CNBC this past weekend. Not MSNBC. They're not the same. It's now on from 10pm, not 8pm.
First of all, you are correct - my mind was unhinged thinking of MSNBC instead of CNBC. A search of their programming for the next seven days does not show any Jay Leno shows at 1 am - however I see that they have scheduled him for 21h00 on Saturday the 21st so it looks as if we are not totally being deprived!

Jay Leno will be doing a similar show on weekdays from June(i think).They moved him to prime time (02h00 SA time),with daily repeats at 23/24h00.The Sunday shows normally were/are just repeats.

I love the Jay Leno show or whatever it is currently called. It's very funny and so is he. I thoroughly enjoy it.

Not if you are in Cape Town! You will struggle with the Reception! So this advice re MSNBC is only for those guys up North!

Jay Leno has moved on to an even newer show, O'Brien takes over Leno's new Show, Jimmy Fallon takes over the Tonight Show, and AliG will be taking over the Late Show - Parkinson will be taking over for AliG as Steven Hawking is taking over his show.
Feeling mighty deprived of my late night talk shows. And even though Tonight Show with Conan only starts in June, why aren't they broadcasting Late Night with Jimmy Fallon?

Nah, they're saving them for rerun after rerun after rerun ... (So that they don't have to pay for all the newer shows at the right time.) -
AFAIK, If they buy a series - or, more accurately, rights to a series - they pay a premium for showing the series for the first time (as it is normally in "Primetime"), but they can then repeat ad infinitum. If they "miss" the original bought time, they can get away with a cheaper rerun fee.
