Today I Learned:

An inguinal hernia (when tissue, such as part of the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles) can contain multiple loops of small intestine, which can descend into the scrotum and result in a bowel obstruction.

Good luck scrotum owners.

Shame poor dude, I hope you are sorted out soon.

In the interim my concern is that a full bowel obstruction is a very serious medical emergency. Have you been prescribed a stool softener and a low fibre diet? If not it is definitely something to look into and could help reduce the pain and reduce the risk of the condition escalating.

Having experienced a proper bowel obstruction although not of the scrotal variety (certainly felt like it though) I can tell you it’s not fun and games.

Starts out mildly enough and very quickly becomes (apparently) similar to having a baby.

I actually had that not so long ago. No bowel obstruction, but got an intestine pinched. Quite painful. Had it fixed.
