what hhd in a dvd recorder

is the hdd in a dvd recorder a 2,5" like a laptop hdd...

...as i have a lg dvd recorder with a 80gig hdd, and wondering if i can upgrade it to a bigger hdd

i think it could be 3,5"
i see no reason for the extra cost if a 3,5" would fit, which seems to be the case

i was thinking it was 2,5" for some reason, but i'll check the model number and google a bit
