What is a 30% share, Elon

Well, the satellites are already overhead doing their job whether the ANC like it or not. The only losers here are the people of South Africa, and let's not pretend that the 30% owned by black people will ever be the ones who really need it but rather rich connected cadre who are either loyal to the ANC or have them in their pocket.

Hilarious coming from a party who've created even more inequality with their cadre enrichment programs as they gleefully watch the poor get poorer while sipping their Hennessy in whatever garish, tasteless mansion they've erected around themselves.

They sip their Hennessy at the posh(er) shebeens in the poor areas, after arriving in their convoy of Blue Lambos just to show the poor unwashed masses that it is achievable you know, not to rub their wealth in anyones face.
 
The thing is that 30% goes to enrich one or two politically connected cadres, not the general population BEE was supposed to bring into relative wealth

I 110% support Elon's stance on this on principle. If I were him I'd just enable it, bill with a foreign credit card processor and say what are you going to do about it. It's not difficult to hide and obtain the dish.
 
I wonder how this lot would react if Elon had Starlink as a company realistically valued in SA, and then just listed the 30% as being fore sale on a share by share basis to eligible black South Africans who are currently disadvantaged or something to achieve the local ownership requirement.

Maybe a share requirement is currently receiving a SASSA grant :P
 
Fat and stupid politicians not understanding what the fuss is about when they have not worked for anything in their lives! Let's take just 30% away of their salaries, expense accounts and the other "benefits" they leach off of us!

Owning shares in a Company doesn't guarantee you wealth.
