What is a "DreamBox"

I have a mate, who's colleague in Europe says he should get a dreambox..? To buy it is euro 300 and an annual fee of euros 150 and he'll get loads of channels (sky..etc)

I've tried to find it on the net but it appears to be nothing more than kodi with repositories loaded?? and other sites mention "Dreambox" as a satellite receiver brand..?

Anyone know what he's on about?

AFAIK they don't work with Multichoice any more so don't bother with it
