So - I just got a new LED LCD - and there is one dead or something pixel - wondering if anyone knows what its called.

On white, blue, yellow green and black - its BLACK

On red - its red... and not detectable.

It doesn't really bother me as you can't see it from the couch - just a bit odd, as usually a dead pixel is dead on all colours.... and a stuck pixel is usually stuck on one colour.

This one seems to be moody :p

pixels on LCDs are all a single colour

On white, your pixel should still be red - it seems that the green and blue elements of the pixel group for that particular one are dead.

Initually thought it was just dead...

But then when I cycled through various colours looking for other pixel problems, I noticed it was fine on red.

I've had that before - All I did was run a program behind the screen to change the colour all the time.
Then I took a soft cloth and wiped softly over the LCD panel until it disappeared. It came back once, I repeated the process and haven't seen it since. GL!

It's a rebel pixel, purposely put there to annoy the hell out of you! :D

Ask this guy, he'll sort it out for you :

nice screen though - It has voice and motion control... although it seems a bit finicky...when my SO walked in and I said "Hi <her name>" The TV turned off :p

That is a feature not a bug.
She doesn't get annoyed that you would rather watch the sport than listen to her talk.
