Like everyone else here, I am very excited about the new uncapped offerings by Mweb. On Friday, I duly completed the online application for the uncapped 4096kbps offering. I grunted at all their requirements, even proof of address, but I put myself through that because of the great deal. Then the nightmare began. I phoned their call centre on several occassions, after a hold of 30 minutes I get through to an agent just to be put through again and the line cut off. It happened twice. I understand that Mweb might be swamped, but surely don't put out such a product if you are not geared for it. The reaction from the public is to be expected. I suggest you don't get caught up with the hype but rather wait for the other isps to come to the party. That is what I will do. And by the way, why has the online application form been removed from their website. Is it because they know they can't keep up with the demand? How on earth did others get their uncapped accounts from mweb?

Phoned in 5 minutes later logged into :D

Had a problem phoned support 2 minutes later problem sorted out :D.

As with all new products, it's always best to wait for the initial rush to slow right down and the service to stabilize...well in this case I don't think it will stabilize since more & more people will be signing up. But with mweb never had any problems with network congestions.

I signed up about 30mins ago, the client service guy was helpful, albeit a bit uneducated with regards to throttling and abuse. I asked him so what does the throttling occur, he says there is none. So im like ok, he then says they basically want people to abuse the account. I actually lol'd out loud when he said that. But i got my account just out curiosity are they just single usernames because i just got "xxxxx" i didnt get anything like "xxxx@mweb"

phoned, was told I'd be emailed a form that I need to sign... still waiting on that form :/

Same happened to me. Looks like they just promising stuff to get rid of you in sales.
Also had the phone answered by someone just there to re-queue you.
I also asked for a blank form to pass on. They sent a pre-filled one, probably to get a commission.

If you want a form, wait on the line while they send it.

+1 But my account is still active. So I'm just going to change the billing to debit order. Hopefully it works. You can log in on the mweb site and set your billing details there. I added my bank there. So I will see if they bill me the end of the month.

After having no joy at their call centre for 4 days despite continues calls, I posted a complaint on www.hellopeter.com. Within minutes, Tery of Mweb phoned me and resolved all my problems. She even gave me a free month's use. Now this is service! Way to go Mweb. They just need to shape up their call centre. The complaints are rolling in at hellopeter.com. I think they are losing a lot of potential customers.

Wow well I think telkom can learn a thing or two from Mweb. Wonder if any telkom employee's read these forums
