My medical insurance wants to know how much alcohol I consume.
1. None.
2. Moderate.
3. Heavy.

WTF. They don't say how much moderate or heavy is. I have friends who go straight to the pub after work every single day and drink till it closes.
That to me is heavy.

I have for many years refused to drink before 6 pm and will have 4 glasses of wine every single night. It is my little pleasure in my retirement.
Is this "moderate" or "heavy"?

You Sir are a light drinker.

A moderate drinker packs away 1-2 bottles of heaven nectar or 3 dos beers a week.

Heave drinkers are 3-10 beers a night and on weekends wonder where their car is.

Which one are you?

I thought 4 drinks every day would be heavy but not according to all the web sites I looked at:

Moderate:
Men: Up to four alcoholic drinks in a single day
Women: Up to three in single single day

Heavy:
For Men: More than 4 standard drinks on any one day, or more than 14 standard drinks in any one week.
For Women: More than 3 standard drinks on any one day, or more than 7 standard drinks in any one week.

I would say heavy is drinking till you are drunk 4 times a week.

4 glasses every night is heavy, IMO. If it was twice a week then it wouldn't be too bad, but not every night.

Fathers day

Post of the day!

Back in the day, did a farewell for a ship mate and I was late due to work. I had to do 15 shots of tequila in 15 minutes. I ended up with a broken hand :(

It's tough mate, tell me do you still answer the doorbell on Father's Day? ;)

What are the recommended safe limits of alcohol?

Men should drink no more than 14 units of alcohol per week, these units should be spread out through the week and they should have at least two alcohol-free days a week.

2 tots/beers/glasses a day.
