Sorry not sure which forum this should go into as it’s not an ADSL line but either way it’s a Telkom line that could be used for ADSL.
To what point is Telkom responsible for laying cables and making them neat.
Is it at the exchange
or the pole thing outside the house or just down the road
or at a termination block in the property
or at the point where the phone plugs in.
Let’s assume two scenarios
One a new installation. Where do I as a resident have to start paying Telkom or other private telecom companies to lay cables?
If there is a fault with the line and they start digging up and replacing the cables would it stand to reason that any cable they replace they are taking responsibly for that cable unless they say that “that cable belongs to you do you want us to replace it to make your line work”
