What is the best HDD imaging software?

clonezilla!

Only problem with it is that if you connect the same size HDD and Brand, you dont know which is which and you can clone and empty drive onto the source drive,. it happened to me once :-)

Best is to connect only the one hdd, record the serial ID name then connect both so you know whats what.
 
sheesh seem to be a lot of personal favs here... wonder which one is the best overall :)

Can someone confirm how the latest version of Arconis True Imager Home 2013 is? Bloatware?

I think "best overall" is still just going to be personal fave/opinion. What works well for one person, may not for another. Best option is to give one of them a go, and see if you're happy with the results. You've got quite a few good options that you can use to decide.
 
Reviving this thread. We looking for a imaging software to assist our techs for new pc setups. Many years ago we did cloning and did a consignment of 100 computers. Only to realise that we duplicated the SID on the network. How does the imaging software prevent this?

What we did all those years ago was sysprep a HDD then ghost the drives

Change SID on Windows 10

Hi Team We have around 100 PCs cloned using Acronis and all the PCs are having the same SID. Is there any quick way we can change the SID on these PCs? Any help would he highly appreciated. Thanks Sazzad

Set Up Windows Deployment Services maybe? or FOG if you want something Open Source
