What is the difference between 3gig and 4gig protocols?

My business runs ADSL off a series of 3 gig packages having switched from the more expensive 4 gig packages a month ago. Now I suspect our internet is slower. Apparently there are different "protocols" that the 3 gig uses compared to the 4 gig. Telkom Helpdesk can't explain what this is. Does any know what the real difference is between these two??

Maybe the 3gig package was unshaped and the 4gig package shaped?

Maybe post the packages and the isp.

There is no difference. The 3gig and 4gig, does not refer to a protocol. The 3gig and 4gig only refer to the amount of data you may use in that month.

The only way that your link might be slower, is if the package you migrated to, is for example 512kbps where you had a 4Mbps line with your 4gig package.
