From time to time, lyrics in RnR classics throw people sideways. "Did they really say that? In the '60s?"
Now I enjoy a lot of the music from those days and the real rock simply does not get radio time anymore. Between the disturbing metal on my iPod, we find all these gems waiting to be picked up by the random shuffle. And today, right after some beautiful disturbed (Deify) comes Steely Dan's Hey 19 where they go on about, among other things, Cuervo Gold and the Fine Columbian, which we all know is weed.
Or do we?
So, what lyrics from this incredibly surreal genre do you find mystical? Ja, I'm thinking like Eagles and Led Zep and The Stones. And the Doors. Jeez, just listening to Gloria again - dirty, dirty, fscker.
