What is this beard nonsense?

No thank you.
Unlike some people, I prefer clean shaven, preferably all the important bits, and that includes the face.
 
I love a beard on a guy .... but fck me ... I am sitting with terrible beard burn on my upper lip because of it. My skin did feel very sensitive since Monday morning, but thought it is maybe just a bit dry .... I went to the loo now quickly and while washing my hands caught myself in the mirror and it is peeling something aweful!!!!!! :eek: Totally worth it though. :p

I dunno. My comment was made in reference to the Blu(e) part of the word, and since an injury was involved, red seemed a better substitute.

It is bloody sensitive. It felt like when you have a cold and the edges of your nose gets red and sensitive from blowing your nose. Did not connect it to the beard though. Only when I saw myself in the mirror just now and I saw that my frekking upper lip is peeling did I put the two together. I looks terrible ... but oh well lol.
 
so fun fact.

if the majority of men have no facial hair, women find a beard attractive. and vice versa. there are a few studies done on this subject, because hipsters want to justify having a beard.

but growing a beard is actually healthy for a man. reduces UV exposure, increases chemical balances all sorts of fun things.


I grew a beard earlier this year when I went to ICON cos-playing Rollo for Vikings. I shaved as soon as I could, I did not enjoy the beard. I liked the look but not the feel.

now I am back to my staple goatee. had this configuration for 12 years don't plan on changing.
