It's a trojan horse that attachs itself to the conime.exe file. The conime.exe file is not a virus, it caters for Far East keyboards/input, if I'm not mistaken.

If it's not present on your system anymore, you might have to delete your user profile and create a new one. It does screw around with your system.

I got it when searching for my 'misplaced' Nero Burning Rom key.

i stuffed up my computer when i tried to delete the conime.exe thing that kept coming up on my pc so i re-installed windows xp proffessional yesterday. i have just updated the files and now that windows sp2 is installed again it tells me i need an anti virus on my pc. with the above solutions fromyou guys and spybot and a few other programmes i have on disc, which do you suggest i install to run on my computer now.
