I pretty much agreed with Sandmann's early post. The biggest problem has been injuries to key players, none more so than Fourie du Preez. He is held in extremely high regard by all our opponents and even our biggest detractors in the international press. In all honesty our RWC chances depend more on him being available than the coaching staff!!I kept quiet all of last week - superstitious etc - in the fond hope that I could return this week and silence the "told you so" crowd, which I now do: please feel free to product any one of your hundreds of previous better coaches that has produced the grandslam. None. So PDivvy failed too. BFHD. Things are not as great as I would like them to be, make no mistake, but they are far from bad. I also do not understand the comment about politics and sport mixing. Is this still some whiny cry for a white coach or that PDV is just a BEE or something?
What is wrong with SA rugby?
After the game against England, our rugby looks surprisingly good again.
Funny how after one par game, everyone is thinking everything is ok. England was shockingly bad on the day and we were a bit better.
You guys must stop focusing on Fourie Du Preez. We all know he is good, but you cannot rely on him as our only scrumhalf. if he gets injured then who is next in line. PDV should select only 2 scrumhalves where he can develop them with the style of play with his flyhalves. We all know that some of our World Cup stars are injured. Now is the time to select your inform and upcoming players to be given a chance to show what they made of in the difficult overseas tour. our sa mentality will nver come right, we play our sportsman until their legs are gone. too old and out of form.
