What is wrong with the Netgear DM602 Modem/router

I have noticed that allot fo peaple get disscoecnted often when useing this modem what can be done to fix this problem ?? or have we just frowen away our money couse once i plug in a normal Telkom ADSL modem , it works perfect, someone please help us

The DM602 seems to have a Sync problem with Telkoms DSLAM at the exchange.
If you know a techie at Telkom ask him to switch you onto another port or tweek the DSLAM or hang on a while as I believe Telkom are dumping all their DSLAMs and replacing them with something else but who knows when.

I have a Netgear DG814 and it works great.

Have you tried going to the Netgear site and download the latest firmware for the DM602?
Initially I had some disconnect problems but downloading the new S/W worked for me
