So ye as the title says. What has been your favourite raid of all time? and Why?

According to all (that I saw in the past) Ulduar seems to win hands down every time. (ye it was special for me also)
and following it Karazhan, Sunwell Plateau & Black Temple.

Hmmmm for me the whole Vanilla raiding was awsome... purely from the "epic" feeling of getting 40 players together in a raid competing on the meters. MC, AQ40, BWL were all amazing instances. 40 Guys together in a raid working in synergy was not always an easy task.

From TBC Sunwell was amazing. Loads of execution fights, and then of course the ultimate DPS check Brutallus... a gauntlet, ultimate Add control boss (Muru)... every class had a job, and everyone had to pull their weight.
TOC + Ulduar was extremely buggy and very very frustrating till all the fixes were applied.

from all accounts, only 20 of the 40 people in any given 40man raid actually did anything

1. Ulduar
2. Zul'Gurub
3. Karazhan

:D

Blackwing Lair & Kara.

BWL is a very technical instance, at least in it's day. It pushed raid guild's to the absolutely limit as apposed to the tank n spank which was mostly MC. BWL was the forefather of raiding today where no matter how many HP, Pots or Healing you had, you simply couldn't just blaze through as the fights were very technical in nature.

Kara is just fun. Technical fights as well but I find the entire castle aesthetically pleasing!

1) Karazhan without a doubt. So much so that when our guild went through a renaming phase they chose my option of "Karazhan Chess Club". :D

2) Zul'aman was also quite nice. The whole idea of raiding outside in open air was ... well ... refreshing. Also with 800ms latency, it was a test in itself just to get enough people to bang that bloody entrance gong at the same time. :p

3) Gruul's lair. It was the most challenging one I had managed to get to at lvl 70 and the only 25-man raid I did successfully (we always wiped on those damn orbs in Maggy) prior to hitting lvl 80.

Apart from raiding your ass. I liked Kara, and BT

Mine would be timed Zul aman, gave the instance and nice rushy feel, pressure makes gaming fun ,aka Diablo hardcore
Otherwise black temple I really enjoyed ,felt epic. Also MC40 had that epic feel even thou you could pretty much hide in the crowd and eat ur cheetos. There were no meters afair
Sunwell I didn’t get too far, trash sucked ass. Too hard

Ulduar I completely missed and Nax and ICC always felt kinda meh
Surprised about karazhan s popularity thou. I freaking hated the place. Flipping night at the Opera

Vashj & KT

Oh +1 +1
two great fights

I really enjoyed Maraudon, with the SEXEH Princess Theradras.
Those caverns were confusing as all hell, and quite picturesque, the thing is, the fights were individual and varied sufficiently to keep things interesting.

Though, when we rushed through it at level 80, it was boring as all heck, but, I hate rushing anyways.

Probably did Kara over 9000 times. Never got used to the stress of running away from the nova on Prince with 800ms. Everyone would lol on vent when all the saffa melees died at the first one. Ahh, those were the days.
