So like I shared in another thread I've started gymming and I'm keeping an eye on my heart rate to be safe.
My question is: what is your heart rate during rest, moderate exercise and hard exercise? [and maybe how fit are you generally coz I think that influences it]
My gym has a poster up that says your maximum heart rate should be 220 - your age. I'm 31, so that means my max heart rate should be 189.
My resting heart rate has been high my whole life, so I think that skews my numbers (and I'm admittedly unfit anyway - though working on it now!). At rest, my heat rate is generally around 85-100; moderate exercise pushes it up to 130-150; and during strenuous exercise (turns out jogging is way more strenuous than I figured) my heart rate jumps to 180-190 (at which point I slow the hell down lol).
