Dear All,

Please should anyone know, which Fibre ISP use usernames for PPPoE xxxx@rapidfibre?

Thank you.

Invoice was emailed, I answer my own question now.
crispfibre.co.za using Openserve.

Not very good for those that may wonder.
Poor latency daily between +- 1800 -- 2100 in Centurion.

How did you end up signing up with them?

Not me, I am a guest of the person who did.

I also wonder how.

Testing with Vox credentials at this time. Will see if it makes a difference tonight.

Maybe I should test with Cool Ideas.
The bad for Cool Ideas, my notes from past: "Bad, Ring them cost R 308 / hr".
If this changed I am happy to revise the notes/ recommendations.

"Bad, Ring them cost R 308 / hr" I dont know what that means?

Happy to give you a test account just PM me.

Thank you.
I looked at your site.
Seems I cannot buy prepaid data to test. I always like to pay. Keep matters simple.
I will PM you, I will report results back in 2 days.

Re ["Bad, Ring them cost R 308 / hr" I dont know what that means?]
I had to pay R308 per hour to ring Cool Ideas when I tested your support on the phone at the time of that note +- 1 year ago.
Telkom all cost calculator here claim it should cost +- R35/ hr to ring you.

I still don't follow what you mean it would cost you R308 per hour to phone us? We use a VOIP service since inception would is the cheapest to call.

Feedback.

Why did I bother with this latency issue?
I am a guest at this location, I must use VOIP daily. At peak times I could not use VOIP, quality was utterly poor.

Cool Ideas offered a free test account. (I insisted on paying for the data, they insist you use the free test account.)

On a simple home 10.5 Mb/s Openserve fibre lin in Clubview, Pta.
The Crisp ISP and Vox is pretty bad at peak time.
Cool Ideas is very good.

Thus, for any user, I would strongly recommend you try Cool Ideas should you have latency issues.
