What keeps gobbling up my bandwidth ?

I suspect that big corps use data sent/received from and to their servers as some kind of benchmark for success vs their competitors. I also suspect that data is being for tax rebates or on the stock market under another pseudonym.

Also user information is big business, and as much data is being sent to your machine about the websites or via "updates" as much as half that data is actually data being sent back about you.

There is something going on and I have yet to put my finger on it. The data we consumed is somehow again being used as a trading commodity somewhere so the idea is to pump as much data onto your device as possible.
