It’s all about preferences I guess. iOS for me and my use case is just better. At first I only started using it because almost everyone in my family used it. But it grew on me. I do have a work Samsung though, so… no hate on android. It works just as well

Well… I’ve seen iOS devices going for 3, 4, 5 thousand. So it’s not a matter of one being more expensive over the other. You can get Apple devices for less if you look in the right places
 
I switched from Android to the iPhone. Steve Jobs is a great salesman.
1. Battery life. Even with this small 3279 mAh battery I still get over 6h SOT
2. Updates (I got more updates than all my Android phones combined within a year)
3. Fast SOC. Sure you get the same on high end Android phones but even R10k + Android phones have crappy SOC's nowadays
4. Ecosystem. Apple TV is much better than the el cheapo slow Android TV boxes, the iPad and Apple Watch are also more mature and the new M* Macs are unbeaten.
5. Accessories. Unless you use the Samsung ecosystem good luck finding accessories like a 3 device wireless charger etc. for your Chinese phone
6. Apple's productivity suite is more fully featured on mobile compared to Google Docs
7. Better optimization. With Apple doing the hardware and software iOS is more optimized and you need less RAM
8. Better on device machine learning (scanning in docs etc.)
9. Esim / Wireless charging/ Waterproof / Apple pay even on cheap iPhone SE 2022
10. Family sharing. I'm pretty sure more apps can be shared with the family. Also easier to see if app has family sharing
11. iCloud hide my email - much faster than using a third party solution on Android
12. Less bloatware. Samsung duplicates all Google apps and Google themselves kill a service every month https://killedbygoogle.com/.

Things I miss
Dual Whatsapp support
Sideloading apps (I'd like to have Stremio on the Apple TV and sideload another Whatsapp
MacOS features that Windows and Linux has
 
Amazing how iPhone users always have to justify themselves as to why they spend thrice the amount on a phone, only for features that was brought out on the android platform many moons ago...

Multiple selections would have been nice. For me it is affordability and the interface. Sure, IOS looks very pretty, cant deny that...but the once time I tried to help a guy I was seeing with a friend with something on his iPhone I just hated how things worked. IOS while pretty, just does not do it for me. Samsung One UI is the best for me out of all the other android skins. Xiaomi was actually not bad either (appart from the phone being dog k@k slow, but it was a cheapy admittedly), but having to dig through settings to make sure it does not kill every frekking app in site when you leave it alone for a minute and you dont get any notifications was a fcking ball ache!

I tried the iPhone 12 and hate the lack of back button or swipe gestures that make sense. The terrible keyboard without a numbers row. No problem just install Gboard and enable the numbers row, right? Nope. You can enable it is settings but nothing happens. Why include the setting if nothing changes? Also the scrolling. Everyone hypes up the scrolling saying it's smoooth as butter. It is smooth but it feels so slow compared to Android. The few moments before the scrolling comes to a stop, it just lasts too long and is very noticeable. Meanwhile, Android's scroll is quick and snappy. Form follows function as it should be. I will be trading in the iPhone when the S25 Ultra drops
