what Keyboard do you use/recommend?

Straight on my laptop. I type so, SO much faster on a laptop than I do on any full-height keyboard, mechanical or otherwise. I've tried the cheapie low profile Dell and Microsoft keyboards and they are utter trash. I still want to give a Keychron K3 or something similar a try though.
 
I recommend one with keys on it. At least the alphabet and the numbers. Very crucial.

I use some random logitech thing. I can't even tell you when I bought it... I think SA still had electricity back then. It's pretty much bulletproof.
 
Urg anything but razor, those have like a year lifespan before one of the buttons will start not working or double pressing.

Using a red dragon vara since 2017 (checked takealot) and haven't had a days problem. Great keyboard at a decent price.
 
Logitech MX Keys. Excellent keyboard and the ability to switch between multiple devices is really useful.

And if youre a parent get your kids one, why? Ban them off the PC and you can hear if they try sneak on. Its noisy but work great for FPS etc

And yes it has a 4.8 rating for a reason.

The Logitech G Pro seems to break often, I went thru two that developed issues then dumped it for this.
 
i wouldn't recommend the one i use - its a very old Logitech that i bought for close to R1.6k around 10 years back and nowadays you would get similar for around 400 bucks - but it was rare back in the day and very good when it was new in the range - its okay, but now some of the keys have stopped working for some reason - and thankfully the non working keys are mostly numbers so i can use the numlock but i cant access the star function on the number 8 key or whatever is on the upper of the number 6 key .....thankfully not really regularly used keys but one of these days it is going to irritate me enough to want to go and buy a new keyboard
 
Used a Cooler Master Quickfire XT (Cherry MX-Brown) for about 6 years. The thing is built like a tank. Solid AF. My younger brother has it now.

Currently using Keychron K3 Pro (Low profile Gateron Browns). Wanted something portable. Good looking keyboard and the double-shot PBT keycaps feel great. Bluetooth issues are ****ing horrible though.

I was keen to see responses but there isn't a single trend here. Everyone is recommending something else.

I used to use a Microsoft keyboard when I still used PC.
I've been using Mac for the last 11 years.

Lately I decided I wanted to play a specific game, I played the earlier version when I was younger.
Cracked out the old Microsoft keyboard I had.

I really drove home what a difference a good keyboard can make.

I'm looking for a budget USB keyboard with backlighting. It's for use in a dark production booth, so backlighting is a must.

Any suggestions?
