What laptop to get? Need some input/advise

Hi people,

Ive been on MyBB for a quite a while, always found all the info I was looking for using the search facility but now Im stuck. Im in the process of buying a laptop, I had my eye on the Toshiba c850 f0029 and to me it will suffice for what I wanto do, word processing, streaming movies and using CAD packages like Solidworks. I priced it between R 5,700.00 and R 6, 500.00.My budget is about R 6,000. I see Incredible connection has a Lenovo E520 Notebook on special for R 4999.00. I did some research on the lenovo and its a Sandy bridge I5 vs the Ivy bridge I5 in the Toshiba. 500 gig 7200 rpm HDD of the lenovo vs the 640 gig 5400 rpm of the toshiba. Please give some input

500GB 7200 rpm over the 640GB 5400rpm, the extra space doesn't warrant the speed decrease IMO.

Ivy bridge is better but by only a very small degree.

I consider Lenovo to be a better brand than Toshiba, but the price and specs in this case means the Toshiba wins.

So defiantly the Toshiba if I had to choose.

Also considering on buying a newer laptop at around the R12K but after reading about the soon-to-be-released Haswell chips from Intel I have decided to wait a bit to see the prices drop on the currently overpriced Ivy Bridge chips.
