What Linux does better than Windows

I love elementary

It was buggy as hell when I used it at first but it improved a lot.

It's the closest I'll get to owning an apple.

Biggest issue with it for me, is more related to Linux in general, I use photoshop and a few other windows specific programs.

But as I transitioned into a more dev role I am able to make do with the Linux version of my editors without issue.

It really is getting better and better. Linux has great support for AMD video cards, but for nVidia not so much. Not to say it doesn't run, but it doesn't run as well from what I have heard. Many AAA titles have been ported to Linux and others are available on Steam via Steam Play.

Agreed, i cannot find the proper drivers for my nVidia card, so i had to use the generic. Problem is, after 10 minutes the screen would freeze, and i would have to restart, so until they release proper drivers (official) i had to remove my graphics card and use the default onboard card.

In my experience the NVIDIA drivers on linux is on par with those on Windows. I have been using those drivers (the non free nvidia official drivers) since 2009 without any issue. I game alot on linux and use G-Sync and everything. Though i never use the latest driver, not even on Windows because they sometimes introduce bugs in the newest versions. Sometimes I roll back a driver version if it gives issues. I use the Guru3d website to check for driver issues.
