What makes this Boere Bread diff from Normal Bread

The weight, its almost as heavy as a brick.
 
Hmmm.. soutie - An insulting term used for english white South African. These South Africans were claimed to have one leg in South Africa and one leg in England, thus dipping their balls in the salty ocean. "Soutie" directly translated means "a salty"

A lid has not been placed on top, making the bread square.
The dough in shops is the same just the shape changes.
