What model GPU

Hi guys,

as i mentioned before i am in the process of getting a new PC, now I have decided to go for the Nvidia GTX 670. I was looking at the PNY GTX670 but from what i've read on the net everyone recommends the Gigabyte one. My question is does the extra cost justify getting the gigabyte one?

Usually the only thing that changes is the cooling system. Gigabyte is known for it's good cooling systems and PNY for it's cheap ones. So I would pay a little bit more for a Gigabyte one, but not too much more.

I just bought the Gigabyte one about two months ago, I havent had a single problem with it, it is really silent and just an overall great card

Also the warranty will be superior on the Gigabyte one, usually 3 year warranty, so yeah 1 extra year warranty. You are mostly paying for the brand name, then the cooler, then the warranty and support.

For R100 more than the giabyte you can get a GTX680.

from the 1's you have mentioned the gigabyte 1 is overclocked edition which is equal to a GTX680 and the PNY is just stock standard 670. i would definitely go for the gigabyte... Rebeltech had it on special for +-R4600 about a month ago

i would still rather go for the Gigabyte GTX670OC

R800 difference in price. I think if you're willing to pay that for "cooling", rather fork out a bit more and get a 680. Seriously, when people say that the 670 is on par with a 680, they forget that the 670 is being OC'd, resulting in much higher temps than the 680 at stock.

So yeah, opinion if you are going to pay that extra amount of money for the GB model, then get a 680, if you are wanting to keep the price below R5K, get the 670.
